Corazonas snack liberation

August 20, 2010

Corazonas is a California based snack company that  specializes in heart healthy snacks that help lower LDL cholesterol.  They use plant sterols, which multiple clinical studies have shown reduces the “bad” cholesterol.  Their oatmeal squares, while being extremely delicious and the perfect breakfast, are high in whole grains, fiber and protein.

I had the pleasure of trying the Banana Walnut and Chocolate Chip squares.  Their potato chips and tortilla chips are lower in fat than your average potato chip, are healthier for you, and still have that crunchy goodness that a lot of “diet” chips are missing out on.  The potato chips really do have the feel of a good old fashioned kettle chip.  I tried the Slightly Salted… and while I personally prefer so salt the heck out of my chips, I still found them to be quite delicious.  My husband loved the Black Bean and Cheese tortilla chips, but being a tortilla chip purist… I think I’ll stick to plain old restaurant style tortilla chips.

They are currently running a 28 Day Challenge… simply go have your cholesterol measured, eat their chips and oatmeal squares as they recommend… and see the results for yourself after 28 days!
